Warding Off the Invaders: Ayurveda Approaches for Krimi Roga (Parasitic Infections)

Krimi roga” in Ayurveda defines parasitic infestations or diseases brought on by a variety of parasite species. A dosha imbalance (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), poor digestion, a weaker immune system, or unsanitary living conditions are thought to be the cause of these parasites, which can damage many organs and systems in the body.

Ayurveda mentions different parasites, including external parasites like lice and mites, intestinal worms like roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms, and protozoa like giardia and amoebas.

Kapha Dosha Parasites: It’s thought that these organisms do best in overly wet conditions. They are linked to imbalances in the Kapha dosha and frequently to sinusitis, respiratory problems, and other ailments characterized by excessive mucus production.

Pittaj Krimi Roga: It flourishes in hot, acidic settings and is favorable for parasites linked to Pitta. They may be responsible for skin, digestive, and inflammatory problems.

Vata Krimi: It invades int dry, cold surroundings and is ideal for the growth of parasites associated with Vata. They can appear as neurological conditions, musculoskeletal problems, or joint ailments and are linked to an imbalance in the Vata dosha.

  3. Anaemia: Blood loss from certain krimi roga, especially those brought on by blood-sucking raktaja krimi like hookworms, can result in anemia. Anaemia can cause weakness, exhaustion, pale skin, breathing difficulties, and lightheadedness.
