Ayurveda is an ancient practice of meditation. It has a wide range where it provides healing for various kinds of conditions. It is true for emergency medical conditions nothing can replace modern medicine and the equipment that is provided by modern science.

However, there are various types of healing systems that work differently than modern medicine and can heal the body in various ways and one of those leading techniques is Ayurveda. It can be used in more than one way to heal the body. Even Ayurveda at home is possible.

Ayurveda is very huge and contains various portions. When people think about Ayurveda, they think of some advanced ancient ways that need vast knowledge to perform. However, this is only partially true, there is that knowledge that is very advanced while there are some which are very simple and can be performed immediately. Some can be even performed at home, and we call that Ayurveda at home.

One can practice various practices of Ayurveda at home and some of those are as follows:

Oil massage

Oil massage is an important part of Ayurveda at home. Various kinds of Ayurvedic oils can be used for various purposes. The process of healing using medicinal oils has been the path of Ayurveda for centuries.

Various oils are incorporated with various herbs that provide them various medicinal properties and that very oil is used to give medicinal benefits. From the healing of the tissues to the healing of the internal energy system these oil touch all the segments.

The most amazing thing about Ayurvedic oils is that it is Ayurveda at home. Meaning the things that are needed for this are easily available and may even be available in your kitchen.

Castor oil, sesame oil, castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil is some of the oils that are used in the kitchen and can be used as an active part of Ayurveda at home. Moreover, to increase the efficiency of these message oils, they are sometimes infused with various herbs and ingredients to enhance their healing property as well as make them multi-beneficial.

When oil is used to massage various body parts using Ayurveda at home, it will body in various ways. It will give the sensation of deep relaxation, enhance the immune system, and heal the tissue from inside. It also eases the flow of life energy within our body which may be disturbed by various factors.

Ayurvedic herbs

Herbs are the most active part of Ayurveda as well as Ayurveda at home. There are various kinds of herbs that are used in Ayurveda some are rare while some are easily available and can be an active part of Ayurveda at home. Many herbs in our kitchen can be used for various remedy techniques in Ayurveda.

Ginger, garlic, turmeric, basil, rosemary, cardamom, etc. are some of the herbs with medicinal properties. The list is very long, and we are using may without even knowing it. However, if we were to know the benefits then we could use it in a more balanced way to maximize the benefits.

Some of the ways Ayurvedic herbs can be used in Ayurveda at home are as follows:

Herbal tea

Using herbs to make tea is one of the best ways to use herbs to gain maximum benefit. Herbs are first cleaned and turned into the size which can be used to make tea. Then they are boiled with water for some time to make herbal tea. It is one of the best ways to use herbs for Ayurveda at home.

Direct consumption

Herbs can be directly consumed to gain the benefits provided by them. However, some people might find it difficult to directly consume the herb. But when consumed directly also one can get the benefits the herbs provide. Sometimes, a piece of garlic or ginger is put into the mouth and sucked to keep the cold away and to get rid of the pain in the neck as well as infection.

As a spice 

Many of the herbs that are used in the kitchen are used as spices. Even the herbs that were listed above are mostly used for spice. They are either used to enhance the taste of the food or used to change the taste of the food entirely. Even consumed as a spice the benefits of the herbs can be obtained.

Ayurvedic aromatherapy

Many do not know that even aroma and scents can be used in ayurvedic healing and can be an integral part of Ayurveda at home. This is very easy to use because all you need to do is use various kinds of scents to heal the body. Aromatherapy is used to balance the doshas in the body. The first one needs to figure out which dosha is imbalanced and which needs to be maintained.

After figuring that out one can use various aromas and scents in their home to balance out their doshas. The use of aroma to heal various conditions has been much proven. It has a direct as well as an immediate effect on the mindset and mood of the individual more than the body almost immediately and we in our life also have experienced the power of aroma in our moods.
