In today’s world, beauty is a very subjective matter of debate. Ayurveda, on the other hand, believes that beauty is built on self-love and wellness, which will ultimately treat you with blooming and beautiful skin. Self-love also includes feeding your soul and mind with positivity. We will be covering Ayurvedic Facial Beauty Care in this conversation.

Our skin is the largest sense organ that is most exposed to the outside environment. Sunlight, dirt, smoke, sweat, heat, and cold are all harmful elements that come into direct contact with the skin. These are the hazardous substances that impair the skin’s surface and, in certain cases, are the fundamental cause of legitimate skin problems.

The skin is the most susceptible organ in the human body. It is crucial to first understand your skin type. According to ancient science, each of us has a unique skin texture. To summarize different types, we would cut the list down to dry, oily, sensitive, and mixed skin. Facial Beauty Care would be more of a lifestyle regimen than an instant miracle.

The flow of these doshas in the strotas determines the state of your skin. The equilibrium of dosha, dhatu, and mala is critical. Apart from this, the clearance of mala dosha from the body via urine, stool, and perspiration is a vital element of detoxification.

Facial beauty care entails a regular cycle that must be maintained without interruption by the heart to see enhanced effects. It is not an overnight miracle. Although facial beauty is a transient condition, modest measures can significantly extend the longevity of good skin.

To begin, according to Ayurveda, the basics would be clear with the type of Ahaar and Vihaar we practice based on the climate. For example,

  • Tobacco consumption,
  • alcohol usage,
  • Irregular menstrual cycle,
  • eating junk,
  • regular exposure to sound and UV rays,
  • Poor hygiene,
  • Sleep cycle disruption and,
  • Disrupted akin cycle.

Cutting down on the above-mentioned causes would be the first step toward having damage-free skin.

To begin, we would be fully focused on understanding the notion of skin and its type. Different skin problems are caused by different doshas in the body. The three doshas, vata, pitta, and kapha, are present in our bodies in balanced amounts, but due to varying conditions, these tend to rise or decrease. Either circumstance fosters the growth of hazardous germs or creates an atmosphere conducive to disease transmission. Facial Beauty Care is also dependent on the type of skin we have and what are the numerous measures that may be taken to have a  shine to it.

Vata Dosha Skin

Cracked and chapped skin is caused by an increase in vata dosha in the skin.

  • Skin that is dehydrated, too thin and , dry
  • Skin discoloration and dullness
  • Aging prematurely

Because vata dosha is associated with cold, dryness, instability, lack of moisture, and other ailments, the skin exhibits the same characteristics.

To sustain all of these results, a few do’s must be included in the Facial Beauty care routine, such as –

  • A lot of water has to be consumed.
  • To deep clean the strotas, herbal teas such as Tulsi and cardamom should be consumed.
  • Use of herbs such as ashwagandha and Shatavari
  • Face cleansing with milk, honey, and lemon aids in the removal of dirt and grime.
  • Using oils to moisturize the skin regularly
  • To minimize pores, rice water is used as a toner.

Pitta Dosha Skin

Increased pitta dosha in the skin leads to –

  • Soft, warm, fragile, and hypersensitive.
  • Any intake of greasy, spicy, and ushna-potent foods tends to raise the pitta dosha.
  • Individuals with pitta dosha have irritated skin with frequent outbreaks and pus-filled acne.
  • Reaction to any foreign agent is also a possibility for pitta dosha skin.

To balance the facial beauty care of pitta dosha skin, the Regime should include anything and everything that revolves around sheet/cold potency elements.

  1. Aloe vera gel as a face moisturizer. It has antioxidants, anti-inflammatory effects, mucilage, which promotes hydration, reduces pigmentation, and helps with allergies.
  2. Consumption of cumin water functions as a thorough cleansing agent.
  3. Oatmeal, smoothie bowls with veggies and fruits, and salad intake rich in fiber promote a healthy stomach balanced lance acidity level.
  4. Ghee in lukewarm water on an empty stomach balances strotas and pitta.
  5. Haritki churan works as a face scrub and a face pack to even out skin tone.

Kapha Dosha Skin

The main components of Kapha dosha are prithvi and jala mahabhoot. Both of them are stable and have a tendency to accumulate wherever a good environment can be found. Skin manifestations of Kapha dosha would be –

  • Blackheads
  • Whiteheads
  • Cystic Acne
  • Oily skin that has Excessive sebum production, particularly in the T zone

Skin with a high kapha dosha has a shiny texture and a puffy appearance, which is unhealthy few dietary adjustments that could aid in reducing kapha dosha would be –

  • Avoid using dairy products.
  • To reduce the heaviness of the dosha, consume laghu, tikshana, and katu ahaar.
  • Astringent spices (ginger, black pepper, and cinnamon) aid in the shrinking of pores caused by sebum production.
  • Triphala kadha consumption removes toxins and cleans the intestines.

Ayurvedic Facial Treatment Beauty care is all-around skincare that avoids using any type of toxic chemically prepared product that disrupts the normal pH of the face.
